Dane Francis : « I’m very excited to be back »
Dane Francis, fullback or center, talks about his memories with Carcassonne XIII and give his ambitions for the next season.
Dane, can you introduce yourself?
My name is Dane Francis, I’m 26 years old and I play fullback or centre. I’m from Sydney, Australia!
What memories do you have of Carcassonne XIII?
I have only great memories of Carcassonne! We won the championship which was an amazing feeling but I also made some very good friends that I still speak with now. I will always remember how great that season was and how great everybody at the club was to me.
Where will you play next season?
I have a team in France for next season who will announce my signing this week – my agent John at WestSyde Pathways has worked really hard for me and I’m very excited to be back.
What do you think of the Élite 1 level?
I think it’s good – watching this season from Australia it looks like it’s improving every year and I know coming back I will have to train hard and you can’t take any team lightly.
What are your ambitions for next season?
I want to win another championship, I’m a competitive person and don’t like losing. My partner and I are excited to come over and make new friends and travel, but my biggest goal is to win another championship.
