Anthony Milford autorisé à s’entraîner
La nouvelle recrue des Newcastle Knights, qui n’avait pas été enregistrée par la NRL, vient d’avoir l’autorisation de s’entraîner.
Les débuts d’Anthony Milford avec les Newcastle Knights approchent. L’ancien des Broncos, qui s’était engagé avec les Rabbitohs avant ses histoires extra-sportives, n’a pas joué pour la franchise de Sydney et vient de rallier Newcastle. La NRL a ainsi décidé de ne pas l’autoriser à jouer avant la 11ème journée de championnat. Néanmoins, il peut commencer à s’entraîner avec le groupe et participer aux diverses opérations de promotion des Knights. Un premier pas en attendant la validation définitive de son contrat et son autorisation à jouer. Milford vient renforcer une équipe qui a perdu Mitchell Pearce à l’intersaison et qui a besoin d’une alternative au duo Clifford – Clune. À 27 ans, Milford a joué 193 matchs de NRL et doit amener son expérience à Newcastle.
