Manase Manuokafoa : « Focus on our game »
Few days before the important game against Lézignan, we have met Manase Manuokafoa, player at Albi Tigers.
Manase, can you quickly present yourself ?
I’m 33yrs old, married with a son. I’ve been playing professional Rugby League since I debuted at 19yrs old. I’ve played NRL, Super League and now Elite 1.
Before this match, how do you juge Albi season ?
We started strong at the beginning of the season, but midway we lost crucial close games. Hopefully we can finish the season strong !
What do you think of the level of Elite 1 ?
Elite 1 have some talented French players. But I feel the referees are inconsistent with their penalties and red and yellow cards.
What will be keys for this game against Lézignan?
We need to worry about our own game, and completing our sets. Communication between our players is also very important on the field.
How do you feel the team before this game ? Are everybody ready for it ?
We’ve won the last 2 of our games against Lezignan and St Esteve, so we’re ready and confident for this weekend’s match.
They have a very good player, Bernard gregorius, how is it possible to stop him ?
He’s a good player but he’s not our focus. We need to worry about our own game not other players.
Next year, are you going to continue with Albi ?
I would like to do another season, but will have to wait and see what the future holds.
