Jamie Anderson : « I came over here to play Elite 1 »
We met Jamie Anderson who talks to us about the rise of Villeneuve-Minervois and his ambitions.
Jamie, can you introduce yourself in a few words ?
As for the introduction I am Jamie but back home in Australia everyone knows me as Bubbles, it is a nickname that has stuck with me since i was a very small child. I come from the Gold Coast and played most of my football around that area apart from a brief stint in Sydney when i was apart of the Manly reserve grade teams.
How did you come to Villeneuve-Minervois ?
My Manager Luke Srama got me in contact with Vill Min and they offered a very reasonable offer to come over and play and it was good timing for myself. French life definitely has it challenges but i have found the people nothing but accepting and very kind and it is great to be so close to all these amazing experiences.
The team made a great match against Ferrals, what do take away from this performance ?
it was a great win again ferrals, the team really worked hard against a tough team and the guys that came back from Carcassonne XIII really stepped up and lead from the front,
The team looks to play better for several games, did something change ?
We had a few games with only 13-14 players available and i think it really grew our mental toughness and fitness, now we have a few players coming back from injury we are looking to keep moving forward one game at a time working on the little things and improving each game.
What are your goals for the rest of the season? Would you like to have your chance with Carcassonne XIII ?
I would like nothing more than to play for Carcassonne XIII i came over here to play Elite 1 so i just have to bide my time and wait for an opportunity to do so.
