Harrison Hansen, pilier de Pia, revient sur la victoire 20-38 sur la pelouse de Carcassonne en Super XIII.
La performance de notre équipe a été excellente, même s’il y avait encore certains secteurs défensifs à améliorer. On dit que la défense fait gagner les matchs, et d’après mon expérience c’est totalement vrai, surtout lors des phases finales. Si nous pouvons améliorer les petits détails de notre défense lors du prochain match, cela nous aidera énormément. Nous avons confiance en notre attaque, ce qui explique pourquoi nous marquons beaucoup de points, mais il y a toujours des choses à améliorer. Nous sommes en train d’atteindre notre meilleur niveau au bon moment.
Personnellement, je suis satisfait de ma performance, mais comme pour l’équipe, il y a toujours des points à améliorer. Mon rôle est d’apporter de la stabilité à l’équipe en tant que capitaine et simplement de bien faire mon travail.
Même si Carcassonne avait laissé certains joueurs au repos, ils ont montré pourquoi ils sont premiers du championnat. Ils possèdent un gros paquet d’avants très puissant et sont capables de marquer beaucoup de points également. À pleine puissance, ce sera une équipe très difficile à affronter. Cela promet une phase finale très intéressante.
The performance of our team was excellent, although there were areas in our defence that were lacking. They say defence wins games, and in my experience that’s exactly true, especially in finals rugby. If we can improve the finer details of our defence in the next game, it will help us a lot. We are confident in our attack, which is why we are scoring a lot of points, but there are always things to improve. We are hitting good form at the right time.
As for myself, I was pleased with my performance, but like the team, there are always things to improve. I’m there to steady the ship as captain and just do my job well.
Although Carcassonne rested certain players, they still showed why they are top of the table. They have a big, strong pack and can score plenty of points as well. At full strength, they will be a very tough team to play against. It makes for a very interesting finals series.
