Corey Willis, Saint-Gaudens halfback, speaks about his old team Villefranche and differences between Elite 1 and Elite 2.
What do you think about your first part of the season, individually and collectively ?
Individually and collectively, we have had some positives and negatives for the first part of the season. The hope is to be more consistent each week for the second part.
Who is the best team you have played against ?
The two best teams would have to be Carcassonne and Limoux. Very strong teams who beat us convincingly.
What are the differences between Elite 1 and Elite 2 ?
The difference I think in the competitions is the quality of each team in Elite 1. Every game is tough and every game can be won or loss by how well we play. No easy games.
How do you feel before playing against your old team, Villefranche XIII?
I am very excited to return to my old club and see all my teammates from last season, it will be a very entertaining match.
What are the weak and strong points of Villefranche according to you ?
Villefranche have shown from the results in the first part of the season they don’t have very many weak points. They have a lot of the same players that took us to the final last season and have added some more quality international players this season. It will be a tough match for us on Sunday.
