Connor O’Beirne : « I think the French competition is very strong »
Connor O’Beirne, a new player for the London Broncos, talks about the level of Super XIII and signing with the London Broncos.
How have you been since last season with Lezignan, and where are you playing now?
After leaving Lezignan, I played a season with Maitland in the Newcastle competition, where we won the championship. It was an amazing year.
Have you followed Super XIII this season, and what do you think of the level?
I think the French competition is very strong. I believe teams like Carcassonne would do quite well in the Championship.
Congratulations on signing with the London Broncos! What do you think about the upcoming season in Championship with the Broncos?
I’m very excited to get to London and test myself in a different competition. Hopefully, we’ll have a very strong season.
What are your memories of your time with Carcassonne and Lezignan?
I have so many good memories from my time with Carcassonne and Lezignan. My time in France really helped me mature and develop my game, especially during my year at Lezignan under coach Alan Walsh, who gave me the confidence to become a team leader.
What is your goal with the London Broncos next season?
With London, my goal is to play every game of the season and contribute to winning every week.
