Bernard Gregorius: « Each player is working hard to make the top 17 each week »
Bernard Gregorius talks to us about the good start of his club the FC Lézignan and about his coming game against the Dragons Catalans with the XIII du Président.
Bernard, new season, new coach, new players, what do you think of the group for this season ?
I really enjoy the dynamic of the group this season. We have players of all ages and different levels of experience, but there’s a good sense of solidarity between players which works well. The coaching staff I believe have a lot to do with that as well. There’s a new level of professionalism and competition at trainings. Each player is working hard to make the top 17 each week.
4 win in 5 games, what do you think of the begining of the season ?
4 out of 5 is a good start. I think after our loss to St Gaudens the team as a whole reacted positively to what the coaching staff asked of us, both collectively and individually. Happy with the start, but we want to be in the same position at the end as well.
Villeneuve this week-end, what the team have to do to win this game ?
We just have to trust in our system and play smart. Villeneuve will be hungry to win on Sunday.
You have been selected fo the game again the dragons, are you happy with that ?
Yeah it was a nice little surprise, I wasn’t expecting to see my name there at all.
What will be your goals for this game ?
I just hope I can make my family and my partner proud and to hopefully add a little Kiwi flair to the team (laughs).
