Luke Higgins : « Ambitions for next season are of course to win the competition »
Luke Higgins, new Villefranche player, talks about his choice to join the Wolves and his ambitions for the next season.
Luke, can you introduce yourself?
My name is Luke Higgins, I am 27 years old and I come from Newcastle, NSW, Australia.
Why you leave to Australia to play in Villefranche in Elite 2?
I left Australian because I wanted a new challenge and a new goal, and too experience a new part of the world and a different culture whilst doing something I love and Villefranche provided a very professional opportunity.
Did you follow the Elite 2 championship before you come?
I followed both Elite 1 and Elite 2 once I knew I wanted to try to play abroad.
You can play prop, second row, lock what do you prefer?
My preferred position is a lock forward as I enjoy been able to ball play as a forward but also I equally enjoy second row and lock, all appeal to me a lot.
What are your ambitions for next season?
Ambitions for next season are of course to win the competition and help get Villefranche promoted into Elite 1.
