Chris Hankinson, centre of Featherstone Rovers, talks about the win against Bradford and the Championship League Leaders’ Shield.
Chris, can you introduce yourself ?
My name is Chris Hankinson. I play centre for the Featherstone Rovers.
Another victory this season against Bradford this time, what do you think of the collective performance ?
It was a good win over Bradford away, the performance wasn’t great but still happy to take the 2 points and confirm league leaders.
You win the league leader, how do you explain this, almost perfect season ?
It’s been a tough year personally with missing games early into the season, but I am very happy to finish top which will hopefully give us a better chance in the finals.
Newcastle next weekend and after Toulouse, two very different teams, what’s it like playing against your old team ?
For us now it’s about focusing on ourselves and making sure we deliver the best performances we can heading into the finals, this is our aim for both Newcastle and Toulouse. I expect the Toulouse game to be a great watch !
How win against Toulouse ?
If my team stay disciplined and execute our skill for the 80 minutes, I’m confident we can beat Toulouse, however it is never easy playing away in France. Although it will be nice for me to play somewhere familiar again, I’m looking forward to it.
