Tyla Hepi : « It hasn’t been easy at times but I am seeing the end is near ! »
Tyla Hepi, prop for Featherstone, provides an update on his serious injury and talks about his team’s season.
How are you mentally and physically since your knee injury and how is the rehabilitation going?
Mentally in a good place and trying my hardest to get back playing as it’s been the longest in my life outside the game. The rehab is going well and I am months above schedule it hasn’t been easy at times but I am seeing the end is near !
What do you think of your team’s season?
My team is playing well at the moment and growing better every week. It’s their job to not get complacent and keep improving if they’re wanting to attain promotion !
You find several players that you know like Ford, Kheirallah, Springer, Cozza or Lacans that must remind you of the TO?
Yea it’s been good being around so many French speakers from my team of Toulouse – we are still speaking French at training (laughs).
What are your goals for your recovery?
My goals are to come back and play some of the best rugby I can play and I am hungry again for success.
